Canfield Solitaire: how a round works

Bring this focus to a round

Look at the complete hand before deciding. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

Your goal

Complete four suited foundations beginning at the dealt base rank and wrapping king to ace. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear. Use the rule sheet as a reference.

From the start of a round

  1. Build tableau runs down in alternating colours, wrapping ace to king. Reserve cards refill empty columns automatically.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Move exposed cards onto suit foundations in the stated rank order.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
